After an easy installation, the pmp iPod Video Converter 2.0 application launches to display a high-tech, wizard style interface. A blue 'ADD' button is already lit up awaiting the click needed to import a video source file for converting for use on any iPod video device. I added a MOV video file for conversion, but this program supports most of the popular video file formats, including qt and mp4, Xvid and Divx, and DVD. In fact, the program support batch conversion. Also, the vast majority of audio formats are supported including Real Audio (ra), MPEG4 (m4a), and RAW (ac3).
After adding the media file of your choice, the begin and end times for your video need to be set and they can be found at the bottom right hand side of the mini-player featured. The buttons for setting the timings are both immediately left and right of the play button. After that, it really is a case of selecting an output file path for your converted and new iPod video; the quality that's suitable; and the type of device that your video is for. All of these options are present alongside other features offered, and are easy to select following the three steps the wizard takes you on as you click the forward arrow at the bottom of the interface. Until you click the final 'START' button to begin the conversion process, you can go back and make changes. This program is east to use and works very quickly converting video files for iPod devices.
